Position Overview

The full-time faculty rely on a talented & competent “pool” of adjunct faculty to teach a variety of studio courses. Instructors accepted into our Adjunct Pool will be approved for teaching a specific course or courses, but may not be assigned a course immediately.

Essential Duties

The individual will teach professional Graphic Design concepts and skills at the advanced level such as publication and package design.

Required Qualifications

MFA in Graphic Design or comparable and significant professional experience or four-year degree and extensive professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

College teaching experience.

Environmental Conditions

Graphic Design studio courses are taught in a Macintosh computer lab and are capped at 16 students.

-UNION ELIGIBILITY: Adjuncts become eligible to join the RIC/AFT Adjunct Union if they complete 6 load hours (excludes applied music) within the two previous consecutive years.

-Upon hire, candidate will be required to provide an official transcript of highest degree earned.

-Candidates are required to provide digital images of personal and student work, submitted as either a .pdf file or a link. Use the Multi Media 1 button (no cds, usb drives, or hard copies.)
